What my Dad thinks about my blog . . .

So I talked to my dad this morning and I mentioned my blog and the first thing he said was "Hey Heidi I noticed that your website [blog] said you like avocado . . .avocado is the perfect food, that's good that you like it. Hey you know, I think that's why you didn't have any postpartum depression because avocado is rich in zinc and people with depression have low amounts of zinc." That's my Dad always proud of my health consciousness. I love it!

Despite the somewhat humorous tone to this post, it in no way negates the validity of my Dad's observation regarding my preference for avocado's [and swiss cz]. This posting does not reflect the opinions or preferences of the avocado industry, it was paid for and  published by Heidi Sue Inc.

Gunner's 2nd Birthday and Jack

Thank-you dad!

I know that Jack's against a pink background, but all the blue ones just aren't as cute as this -Look at those blig blue eyes!

It's a couple of weeks after Gunner's Birthday . . . and I've been wanting to take these shots for awhile. So we made cupcakes and celebrated Guns Birthday again! It was great fun, he got to blow out his candle over and over and over.

Easter Egg Hunt

So we went to Gunner's first Easter Egg hunt at the church this morning. It was the stake primary activity for the quarter. I don't think I'll ever get tired of the stunned look on small children's faces when they realize it's a 'free candy day,' Gunner's first experience was on Halloween. And like Halloween, as soon as he opened his first Easter egg and discovered the candy, it was hard to keep him moving! It's hard to conceptualize that there's more eggs to gather with more candy in them. But Gunner, though mystified, was willing.
So Like I said I'm trying out this blogging thing . . . and this is my first attempt at posting a picture. Horray, mission completed. My mom came down last weekend to be here for Jack's blessing. And so did Great Grandma Smith. So of course we had to do the four generation picture thing.

First step . . . where's my kleets!

So I'm trying this bloging thing out. Let's sees how I do.

I've been interested in blogging for awhile now. Originally, I wanted to use it as a way to post my most recent work at Heidi Sue Photography; it's a simple way to display current images of clients without alternating the website - which can be intense. And I've been getting photo requests of Gunner and Jack from family and friends. So this is a way to practice blogging, journal, and post pictures of our family. I'm going to make a goal to post once a week and try something new once a month. I can do that; that's very realistic for a Marathon Mama!
